le dactylo MÉDITERRANÉEN

Le Dactylo Méditerranéen is a Franco-Turkish literary and artistic platform founded by Deniz Dağdelen Düzgün. Dedicated to contemporary poetry, translation, interviews, and Mediterranean cultural exchange, the platform brings together Turkish, French, Francophone, and Mediterranean voices through bilingual publications, literary events, anthologies, and editorial projects.

At its core, Le Dactylo Méditerranéen approaches literature as a space of encounter: a bridge between languages, cultures, and poetic traditions. Through translation and dialogue, it seeks to make contemporary poetry circulate beyond national and linguistic borders.

MISSION

le dactylo MÉDITERRANÉEN

The mission of Le Dactylo Méditerranéen is to create a living literary dialogue between French and Turkish poetry. The platform seeks to make contemporary poetic voices travel across languages, while preserving their aesthetic tension, cultural depth, and singularity.

Through translation, interviews, editorial selections, and literary projects, it offers a space where poetry becomes more than expression: it becomes a form of cultural hospitality.

Dialogue

The platform creates encounters between poets, translators, editors, artists, and readers across languages and geographies.

EDITORIAL VISION

Le Dactylo Méditerranéen is shaped by translation, editorial care, and the belief that poetry can create lasting bridges between languages, cultures, and poetic traditions.

Founder & Editorial Direction

As the founder and editor of Le Dactylo Méditerranéen, Deniz Dağdelen Düzgün develops editorial projects, translations, interviews, and literary encounters that connect contemporary French and Turkish poetry. His work through the platform reflects a long-term commitment to poetry as a form of dialogue, transmission, and cultural responsibility.

A Bilingual Editorial Project

Among its major editorial projects, Le Dactylo Méditerranéen brought together 33 contemporary French poets, many of whom appeared in Turkish translation for the first time, in a bilingual French-Turkish anthology prepared through translation, selection, and editorial work. The project reflects the platform’s central aim: to open a careful and lasting passage between poetic worlds.

TRANSLATION AS ENCOUNTER

Le Dactylo Méditerranéen is built on the belief that poetry can cross borders without losing its depth, and that translation can become one of the most refined forms of literary attention.
